Art in the Middle Ages

Our fifth graders have learned about medieval art in the Iberian Peninsula and now they are able to see the biggest differences  between Romanesque and Gothic architecture. 

In class they watched a video with lots of useful information and they paid attention to a presentation with the most important elements of these two major art styles. Then they designed a display with images amb some information as a final activity. 

We are sure they will enjoy the field trip next week and see the fantastic medieval buildings in Barcelona, such as the Cathedral and Santa Maria del Mar.

Using adjectives... better than ever!

These last weeks fifth graders have been so busy learning lots of adjectives to describe much better some animals, types of transport, journeys, people... but, how? Comparing them!

So now it is time to show their progress and check they can really use the rule for most of the comparative and superlative adjectives they need.

Here you have some moments while practising with a partner in a Speaking Time class this week. They used their iPads, so it was even funnier!

Som terrícoles!

El primer projecte de medi natural del curs ja ha començat a bon ritme. Els mestres de cinquè són experts d’un tema i guien els alumnes per conèixer l’estructura del nostre planeta (en català i en anglès), el misteri dels volcans (en anglès) i com situar-se a qualsevol punt amb les coordenades geogràfiques (en català). 

Aquesta setmana ha acabat la primera part cada grup i properament seguiran el treball per no deixar d’aprendre ni un moment.

Últims reculls de treballs de 5è

Sí, sembla que el final de curs està cada cop més a tocar! Aquests dies estem preparant el nostre darrer recull de treballs de curs que portarem a casa la propera setmana.

Aquest cop les tapes van plenes de motius estiuencs: gelats, platges… moltes ganes de gaudir del bon temps i refrescar-nos, que aquesta setmana la calor apreta a les aules i estem molt cansats.

De moment podeu veure unes fotografies de diferents moments: quan arxivem feines acabades a la carpeta d’anelles, quan ho anem ajuntant tot amb els enquadernadors i, finalment, quan l’àlbum està acabat i ensenyem el resultat ben orgullosos i satisfets.
