Fifth graders were asked to design a bedroom and describe it as an activity in an interschool project called “5 al temple”. Pupils went online and learned how to use the tools in a website and, in a wink, they had the walls, the floor, a door and a window, but they wanted lots more! They searched for some pieces of furniture, such as a bed (or even a bunk bed), a wardrobe, a bookcase, a desk and a chair, a waste paper bin, a bedside table and other elements. They wanted to go further and they found how to paint the walls, have a laptop on the desk...
They really had fun with their iPads and did their best with the descriptions in English. Children asked for some new words, helped each other and showed their designs to their classmates... so they were a bit disappointed when it was time to stop.
The teacher took some photos while they were working and got some of treir designs and descriptions to share the activity with the rest of the schools involved in this project.
